Crystal Palace vs Tottenham
1-1
Spurs are yet to concede a goal in the Premier League but with new Palace signing Edouard bound to make his debut I think Tottenham fans should be worried. Lots of in-form players are out for Spurs including Son which could be a huge miss, especially for a team winning games by narrow margins. Palace should be fresh after most of their players were not involved in the international break, they will not make it easy for Tottenham.
1-0
Tottenham’s string of fortuitous results will come to an end at the hands of a Palace side who just seemed to be gelling at West Ham before the break. Guaranteed to be low scoring.
Arsenal vs Norwich
3-1
Early 6 pointer? Although Arsenal probably won’t get relegated (probably) they still need a huge result against Norwich to boost themselves up the table. After a miserable start to the season, the Gunners have managed to score zero and concede 9. Norwich themselves have not had an easy ride in the Premier League either losing all three games conceding 10. It should be a pretty comfortable win for Arsenal, their quality in comparison to the Canaries should surely get them their first win of the season.
2-0
The Gunners have a lot to prove, the home crowd will be on their back every second of the game. Norwich have looked timid so far and this is not likely to change on Saturday.
Brentford vs Brighton
1-2
Both teams have had fantastic starts to the season and could be the surprise packages of the Premier League this year. Brighton play quick attacking football and will be facing a rigid and stubborn Brentford side. Brighton’s attacking flair with Maupay banging in the goals is not what the opposition will want to see. The Bees are yet to lose a game in the league and I think they might be on course for their first.
1-2
An interesting clash, both teams will fancy themselves after promising starts. A Brighton win seems slightly more likely, but if Brentford want to be comfortable in this division, then these are the games they need to excel in.
Leicester vs Manchester City
2-2
This game was an absolute cracker last year and I am expecting more of the same. City’s dominance has been unmatched in recent years, yet Leicester have always managed to ruffle a few feathers. We have seen it all before haven’t we, City high line against Jamie Vardy’s pace is never going to end well, when will Guardiola learn.
2-1
I fancy Leicester in this one. The mind boggles as to why this is a mere 3pm kick off. Two explosive sides, but also two fantastically organised sides. Leicester edge it for me, due to the home court advantage. We’ve already seen City’s fragility away from home this season.
Manchester United vs Newcastle
3-0
Mr inevitable is back in the Premier League and it would only be so typical of the man to score on his return. Newcastle have done better than expected in their first few fixtures but with Old Trafford rocking and United’s class there is only going to be one winner.
4-1
Newcastle will be looking to spoil the big day at Old Trafford. Despite my score line, I think they will do well. I think it’ll be a similar style of game to Utd’s opener against Leeds, with the added advantage of Cristiano Ronaldo off the bench…I wonder who’s on pen duty?
Southampton vs West Ham
1-3
The Saints have shown glimpses of what they can do this season yet have never really taken off. It is still early doors; however, it is not going to be an easy season for the boys in Red and White. West Ham are on fire at the moment, and I cannot see this average Southampton side ruining their party.
1-3
West Ham have looked phenomenal thus far, and the free-scoring Hammers look set to continue in that vain at St Mary’s. Fornals scored away with Spain in the week, and will be brimming with confidence. Him and Antonio to bag in a comfortable win.
Watford vs Wolves
0-2
Wolves yet to win a game face Premier League new boys Watford in what will be an exciting encounter. A lot of pace and technical excellence in both teams it will be a great watch, Adama and Trincao are too good not to hurt this Watford defence and they will take all 3 points back to Wolverhampton.
0-2
Wolves’ first win of the season will come at Watford. They showed heaps of potential in their first few games, which were all tough, losing by a 1-0 score line every time. I see no repeat of the 2019 FA Cup semi-final and an easy 3 points for the visitors.
Chelsea vs Aston Villa
3-0
Keeping Liverpool at bay is hard enough with 11 men never mind 10 and Chelsea stopped them superbly. This Chelsea side goes from strength to strength, and they have absolutely no reason not to challenge for the title this year. Villa are a good side and it will not be an easy game for the Blues’ however, their excellence in their squad is far superior to Villa’s and they should win this game.
5-1
Many may back Villa to give this one a good go, and I don’t doubt that. But the quality of the European Champions, at home, will be far too much. It could very easily turn into a rout with Lukaku looking more menacing by the game.
Leeds vs Liverpool
3-1
This should be a fascinating game both teams are high energy and will be tiring quickly, meaning a lot of space to attack into. Daniel James is set to make his debut and will be determined to play well against a strong Liverpool team. The Red’s first XI is full of class however, they have had little rest since the international break. Their replacements are nowhere near as competent , they might regret not signing more players in the summer window now.
0-1
An exciting game, but a tight dull score line. Klopp vs Bielsa is a mouth-watering battle, but on this occasion I think Leeds will struggle to create for Bamford, and Liverpool will clinically pick up 3 points in a smash and grab from the fiery Elland Road.
Everton vs Burnley
1-0
This game will probably be quite a dull encounter neither side are particularly open, it will be very physical and highly competitive. Due to Everton’s advantage in the technical side of the game they will nick a goal through a piece of magic.
2-0
Everton’s first 6 fixtures are in their favour, including this one. They will be looking to capitalise on Monday night. However, Burnley don’t often make it easy. Nonetheless, a comfortable home win for the Toffees.
