Marcus Rashford has been quite simply oustanding since the restart of the Premier League post world cup. His Phenomenal goal scoring form began in a League Cup match against Burnley where he scored once in a 2-0 win on the 21st of December.
Rashford's form only took off from there after he scored in 6 consecutive Premier League games, climbing the Manchester club up the table. Not only was Rashford scoring but the quality of some of his goals really caught the eye, a special mention to his solo effort against Wolves.
The electric forward was rewarded for his outstanding displays with the January Premier League player of the month award. Many critics questioned whether Rashford would be able to keep up this quite astonishing scoring run, and he has not disappointed so far.
Manchester United rely heavily on Rashford's influence in order to win matches. Similar to Haaland's influence on Manchester City, when Rashford is not scoring/involved heavily United are not winning.
It must be argued that United's season is reliant on Rashford continuing his fine form. After a League Cup success Man United looked to be on track for a successful season. However, a hugely upsetting defeat to Liverpool as re-introduced doubts over this United side.
A very impressive 17 goals in 22 games since the restart of club football in December, Rashford's influence inspired United to be potential title contenders. After a few lacklustre performances this United side looks incapable of such a feat. However, Rashford's form will be vital if United are to succeed this season. They should be looking for Europa League success and a top 4 finish, otherwise a highly hyped up season may end in disappointment for the Red Devils.
